What to do about sibling rivalry???

One of the issues I see in this age group, is handling when a new baby is in the house. I often hear that my mama spends more time with baby than me. I usually tell those students that I know the problem and that is they are comparing themselves at their current age to the current age of the baby. We have to compare yourself as a baby to the baby.

When you were a baby, I held you just like this. When you were hungry, I fed you just like this. When the baby gets your age, I will treat them the same way I am treating you now.

By getting to see things from this perspective, they can look at the problem in a different way which allows them to let go of the rivalry.
